Η Εύα Γεράκη γεννήθηκε στον Πειραιά το 1976. Αποφοίτησε από την Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης με κατέυθυνση στη ζωγραφική, υπό την καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή Βαγγέλη Δημητρέα.

To 2021 παρακολούθησε  το σεμινάριο "θεραπεία μέσω εικαστικων" (art therapy) του πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου.

 

Έχει φιλοτεχνήσει εικονογραφήσεις για το Διεθνές Κέντρο Ολυμπιακής Εκεχειρίας, λογοτεχνικά βιβλία και τις αφίσες του Φεστιβάλ Σύμης για το οποίο εργάστηκε εθελοντικά ως μέλος στην ομάδα συντονισμού απο το 1998 έως το 2000. Επίσης ασχολήθηκε ενεργά με τον πολιτιστικό σύλλογο Συμιακών Νέων, ως πρόεδρος του, από το 2003 έως το 2005.

Κεραμικά έργα της με θέμα την αρχιτεκτονική της Σύμης, έχουν παρουσιαστεί και πωληθεί στο πωλητήριο του Μουσείου Κυκλαδικής Τέχνης, στο πλαίσιο της έκθεσης "Άγονη Γραμμή" που διοργανώθηκε απο τον 12/2011 έως τον 5/2012

Έχει εικονογραφήσει θέματα για λογαριασμό εμπορικών εταιριών, περιοδικών και για την δημόσια Ελληνική ραδιοτηλεόραση 

( novalac, γαστρονόμος, 2ο πρόγγραμμα, ertecho κ.α )

 

Επίσης, έχει διδάξει σε πολλά ιδιωτικά και δημόσια σχολεία, καλύπτοντας όλες τις βαθμίδες εκπαίδευσης όπως και έχει εισηγηθεί σεμινάρια εικαστικού επαγγελματικού προσανατολισμού.

Από το 2004 διατηρεί το δικό της καλλιτεχνικό εργαστήριο, το «ΧΡΩΜΑ», όπου παραδίδει μαθήματα ζωγραφικής σε παιδιά και ενήλικες (www.chroma-art.gr) μέσω του οποίου έχει διοργανώσει πολιτιστικά projects με το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Πειραιά, τον Δήμο Πειραιά, το Χατζηκυριάκειο Ίδρυμα, τον εκπαιδευτικό όμιλο ΑΚΤΟ. Επίσης έχει εισηγηθεί σεμινάρια εικαστικής δημιουργίας για ιδιωτικές εταιρείες  όπως η Deloitte Greece.

 

Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμες ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Αθήνα, τη Θεσσαλονίκη και διεθνώς. Ορισμένες από τις σημαντικότερες συμμετοχές της περιλαμβάνουν: τη συμμετοχή της το 2004 σε έκθεση της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του ΑΠΘ στο Μακεδονικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης, καθώς και άλλες εκθέσεις όπως "Εικόνα, Χώρος, Δράση",  "Η Ανθρώπινη Φιγούρα στην Τέχνη" στο Γκάζι, και διάφορες εκδηλώσεις του εικαστικού επιμελητηρίου.

Από το 2010 έως το 2018, συμμετείχε τακτικά σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις καλλιτεχνών στη Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Πειραιά, ενώ το 2017 υπήρξε συνεπιμελήτρια της έκθεσης "Χόρεψε στο Φτερό του Καρχαρία" επίσης στην Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Πειραιά.

Το 2016 συμμετείχε στην ART Thessaloniki, το 2017 στο Plattforms Project, μέσω της οργάνωσης "ορίζοντας γεγονότων" και το 2018 στην έκθεση "No Sugar Added" στη γκαλερί Depot στην Αθήνα σε επιμέλεια της κ. Μαρίας Μόσχας Καρατζόγλου και της κ. Ευαγγελίας Καϊράκη. Τον Ιούλιο του 2018 έλαβε μέρος στην 10η Ομαδική Έκθεση του Δήμου Ελευσίνας με τίτλο "Ουτοπική Πόλη" σε επιμέλεια της

κ. Αναστασίας Δαλμά. 

Στο εξωτερικό συμμετείχε με έργα της στην OSTEN ART Skopje Biennial of Drawing το 2021.

Τον Οκτώβριο του 2024 συμμετείχε στην ART3F στη Μασσαλία της Γαλλίας με την επιμέλεια της tidalflowart και της κ. Τζένης Τσουμπρή

 

Ατομικές εκθέσεις της περιλαμβάνουν την παρουσίαση έργων της:

Τον Οκτώβριο του 2016 στον συνεδριακό χώρο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, Art Atrium - Covent Garden, στις Βρυξέλλες, μετά από πρόσκληση του επιμελητή κ. Thierry Bourgeois.

Το καλοκαίρι του 2023 στο Πνευματικό Κέντρο του Δήμου Σύμης, με την ενότητα έργων «Peace of Mind» μετά από πρόσκληση του Δημάρχου Σύμης κ. Παπακαλοδούκα.

Eva Geraki was born in Piraeus in 1976. She graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in painting under the guidance of Professor Vangelis Dimitreas.

In 2021, she attended the "Art Therapy" seminar at the University of the Aegean.

She has illustrated works for the International Olympic Truce Centre, literary books, and posters for the Symi Festival, where she volunteered as a member of the coordination team from 1998 to 2000. She was also actively involved in the Cultural Association of Symian Youth, serving as its president from 2003 to 2005.

 

Her ceramic works, inspired by the architecture of Symi, have been showcased and sold at the Cycladic Art Museum’s store as part of the exhibition "Agoni Grammi" ("Barren Line") from December 2011 to May 2012.

She has created illustrations for commercial companies, magazines, and the Greek public radio and television, including Novalac, Gastronomos, the Second Program, and Ertecho, among others.

Additionally, she has taught at numerous private and public schools across all educational levels and has conducted seminars on professional artistic orientation.

 

Since 2004, she has run her own art studio, "Chroma", where she teaches painting to children and adults (www.chroma-art.gr). Through this initiative, she has organized cultural projects in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus, the Municipality of Piraeus, the Chatzikiriakeio Foundation, and the AKTO educational group. She has also conducted creative art seminars for private companies such as Deloitte Greece.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki, and internationally. Some of her most notable exhibitions include:

​Her participation in a 2004 exhibition by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s School of Fine Arts at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art.

Other exhibitions such as "Image, Space, Action", "The Human Figure in Art" at Gazi, and various events organized by the Chamber of Fine Arts.

 

From 2010 to 2018, she regularly took part in group exhibitions at the Municipal Art Gallery of Piraeus. In 2017, she co-curated the exhibition "Dance on the Shark’s Fin", also at the Municipal Art Gallery of Piraeus.

In 2016, she participated in ART Thessaloniki, in 2017 in the Platforms Project via the "Horizon of Events" organization, and in 2018 in the "No Sugar Added" exhibition at Depot Gallery in Athens, curated by Maria Moscha Karatzoglou and Evangelia Kairaki. In July 2018, she participated in the 10th Group Exhibition of the Municipality of Elefsina titled "Utopian City", curated by Anastasia Dalma.

Internationally, her works were showcased at the OSTEN ART Skopje Biennial of Drawing in 2021.

In October 2024, she participated in ART3F in Marseille, France, under the curation of Tidalflowart and Jenny Tsoubri.

 

Solo Exhibitions:

​In October 2016, she presented her works at the European Union’s conference space, Art Atrium - Covent Garden, in Brussels, following an invitation from curator Thierry Bourgeois.

In the summer of 2023, she exhibited her works titled "Peace of Mind" at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Symi, following an invitation from the Mayor of Symi, Mr. Papakalodoukas.
